Sweet vid...I would call it "Stache-tastic"!! Nice move Lavan and LaRocque.
^Oops, that was supposed to be a comment...not a reply. FAIL
This is a great design, new and very strong. I love the sight-lines out the back window with the "Y" and was very impressed at how easy it is to load and unload. Tried many racks in the past and there are lots of good ones out there...this one is my next rack.
Props to Arbutus for building these in BC from start to finish.
Awesome video... nicely done.
like very much... as always from the AL/SL team, a great vid.
Nothing like a nice rack too.
Argh... STILL need to ride!!!
Haters are going to hate no matter what anyone says... give her credit for what she has accomplished in her life and in her chosen sport. She represents the "MTB lifestyle" and is a spokesperson for a very good local company that promotes a healthy sport. She is a TV show host and is actually a very good all around rider...better than I am for sure.
No one is saying Paris Hilton isn't a joke, or Lindsey Blowhan... but comparing DT to one of those two is just weak sauce.
Back to your regularly scheduled ranting.
Definitely one of the hardest working Mountain Bikers out there. Sponsored by a great local company for many years too (Norco), who really likes to support their riders and the sport on all levels.
I am always stoked to see how much of a positive attitude she always seems to have, and with that infectious smile... winning combination. Her continual promotion of woman's mountain biking is a real boost to the sport, and the industry. I bet there are literally hundreds of women out there now and buying bikes directly or indirectly because of competent riders like Darcy Turenne.
Congrats DT on a stellar 2010, and for what I am sure will be an even bigger and better 2011.

Sweet ride for sure... the Spitfire is the little brother to the Rune, which is my ride of choice these days. I haven't had the pleasure of throwing a leg over the Spitfire, but if it rides like it looks like it should (and this video shows) it must be a fun little ripper! Light and tight!
Oh and the "trees without bark" are called Arbutus Trees. Vancouver Island is literally COVERED with them!!
Another nice Banshee vid AL/SL. About Us
